Orders received by German manufacturers of electronic components--in-house manufacturers and EMS providers--in the fourth quarter of 2013 were down by 9.6% on-quarter, but 0.9% better from the same period in the previous year, according to the Central Association of the PCB and Electronic Systems (ZVEI). Revenues were down 1% over the previous quarter and 1.7% lower than the same period last year.
Exports accounted for 27.9% of the total order intake in 4Q, down from 32.8%. Book-to-bill ratio reached a value of 1.0.
