The German PCB market grew by approximately 3% in November 2013, compared with November of the previous year.
This marks the third consecutive month of growth for German PCB makers. Even with one less working day than in the previous year, sales were 8.1% higher, as ZVEI has reported.
The main industries served by German PCB makers, automotive and industrial electronics, developed satisfactorily in 2013. In the automotive sector in particular is due to the demand for premium models, are equipped with more and more electronics. Mechanical engineering and medical electronics also enjoyed good demand. Due to the positive economic forecasts for 2014, this growth should continue.
The order intake was down 8.8% compared to the same month. From January to November 2013, grew by 1.7%. This growth was particularly strong in the smaller enterprises.
The book-to-bill ratio with a value of incoming orders totaled EUR 1.06. The number of employees in the industry rose by 2.7%.
